RML Wood Truck Box Liners Alberta
Protect your truck box from dents, impacts and daily wear with an RML Wood Box Liner. Manufactured in Alberta using Canadian exterior-grade fir plywood, these liners provide practical truck box protection for fleet vehicles, commercial trucks, contractors and tradespeople.
RML Wood Box Liners are available in 5/8-inch and 3/4-inch plywood configurations. Each liner is precision-cut using CNC equipment at RML’s local wood shop for a consistent, vehicle-specific fit.
Raven Truck Accessories supplies and installs RML wood truck box liners in Grande Prairie, Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary and Edson.
Built in Alberta for Working Trucks
RML has manufactured wood truck box liners and storage products for more than 35 years. All RML wood products are manufactured on-site using Canadian plywood and precision CNC equipment.
The CNC manufacturing process allows each component to be cut to the angles and dimensions of a specific truck box. This creates a more consistent fit across different makes, models, box lengths and fleet vehicles.
Each liner is finished with a black stain for a clean, consistent appearance.

Practical Truck Box Protection
A wood truck box liner creates a strong barrier between the factory truck box and the tools, materials or equipment carried every day.
The plywood helps reduce the frequency and severity of dents caused by dropped or shifting items. It also protects the factory box from scratches, gouges and other wear associated with commercial use.
Benefits include:
-
Helps reduce dents caused by dropped tools, equipment and materials
-
Protects the factory truck box from scratches, gouges and everyday wear
-
Provides better dent resistance than a plastic drop-in liner
-
Easier to remove or replace than a permanent spray-in liner
-
Creates a firm surface for cargo and work equipment
-
Provides a practical foundation for truck storage systems
-
Can be removed, repaired, refinished or replaced when required
-
Available for many short-box and long-box truck applications
-
Suitable for individual work trucks and larger commercial fleets
Wood truck bed liners are particularly useful for leased fleet vehicles and trucks exposed to heavy wear. If a liner becomes damaged over time, it can be removed and replaced without permanently altering the factory truck box.
Compare RML Wood Box Liner Series
RML manufactures three wood box liner configurations for different trucks, equipment and installation requirements.
| Series | Construction | Fit | Assembly | Recommended Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| K Series | 3/4-inch plywood | Flush with box rails | Assembled outside the truck and dropped in as one piece | Heavy use and maximum durability |
| U Series | 5/8-inch plywood | Below box rails | Assembled piece by piece inside the truck box | Trucks using rail-mounted accessories or flush-mount covers |
| L Series | 5/8-inch plywood | Flush with box rails | Assembled piece by piece inside the truck box | Flush coverage with a lighter, easier-to-install design |
K Series 3/4-Inch Flush-Mount Drop-In Wood Liner
The K Series is RML’s most durable wood truck box liner. It is made from 3/4-inch exterior-grade fir plywood and designed for trucks exposed to heavy use and wear.
K Series liners are assembled outside the truck and dropped into the box as one piece. Because of their size and weight, installation typically requires a forklift or assistance from several installers.
The liner sits flush with the top of the truck box rails, providing additional coverage along the sides of the box.
K Series features:
-
3/4-inch Canadian exterior-grade fir plywood
-
High-impact-resistant construction
-
RML’s most durable wood liner configuration
-
Flush-mount box rail coverage
-
Assembled and installed as a one-piece liner
-
Vehicle-specific CNC-cut components
-
Tie-down cut-outs on applicable models
-
Custom cut-outs available by request
The K Series is recommended for commercial trucks, fleet vehicles and contractors who regularly carry heavy tools, equipment or materials.
U Series 5/8-Inch Under-Rail Wood Liner
The U Series is made from 5/8-inch exterior-grade fir plywood and fits below the top of the truck box rails.
Because the liner leaves the upper rails accessible, it works well with combination rails, attachment rails and many flush-mount tonneau covers. Compatible covers include the TruXedo Lo Pro and many BAKFlip models.
U Series liners are assembled one piece at a time inside the truck box. This makes them easier to install in shops without a forklift or with limited installation staff.
U Series features:
-
5/8-inch Canadian exterior-grade fir plywood
-
Under-rail installation
-
Leaves the top of the truck box rails accessible
-
Compatible with many flush-mount truck box covers
-
Assembled inside the truck box
-
Tie-down cut-outs on applicable models
-
Custom cut-outs available by request
The U Series is a practical choice for work trucks that require both box protection and access to the factory box rails.
L Series 5/8-Inch Hybrid Flush-Mount Wood Liner
The L Series combines the flush-mount coverage of the K Series with the 5/8-inch plywood and in-box assembly of the U Series.
It fits flush with the top of the truck box rails but is assembled piece by piece inside the box. This allows installation to be completed without lifting a fully assembled liner into the truck.
L Series features:
-
5/8-inch Canadian exterior-grade fir plywood
-
Hybrid flush-mount design
-
Flush coverage along the truck box rails
-
Assembled inside the truck box
-
Easier to handle than a one-piece drop-in liner
-
Vehicle-specific CNC-cut components
-
Tie-down cut-outs on applicable models
-
Custom cut-outs available by request
The L Series is suited to customers who want flush-mount coverage but prefer a thinner liner or an installation that does not require a forklift or multiple installers.
Custom Cut-Outs and Truck-Specific Fitment
RML wood truck box liners include tie-down cut-outs on applicable models. Cut-outs are also available for Ford Pro Power Onboard systems.
Additional custom cut-outs can be completed by request when the required measurements and dimensions are supplied. This allows the liner to accommodate specific fleet equipment, power outlets, storage systems or other truck box accessories.
Available applications include a range of Ford, Chevrolet, GMC and Ram trucks. Fitment depends on the truck’s year, make, model and box length.
Compatible with Work Truck Storage and Accessories
RML Wood Box Liners can be paired with compatible truck storage and commercial accessories, including:
-
RML PacRat storage boxes
-
Truck toolboxes
-
Headache racks
-
Box rails
-
Combination and attachment rails
-
Wheel-well boxes
-
Compatible tonneau covers
RML PacRat boxes sit low between the wheel wells to provide organized storage while preserving usable space above the unit. Available configurations include the RML Slant, which provides clearance for loading ATVs, snowmobiles, carts and dollies.
For 2009 and newer Ram trucks equipped with a K Series liner, the space between the wheel wells is not wide enough for a standard 48-inch PacRat. These applications require a custom 46.5-inch-wide PacRat, which is normally built to order.
Wood Box Liners for Fleet and Commercial Trucks
RML Wood Box Liners are an economical truck box protection option for businesses operating one vehicle or an entire fleet.
They are especially well suited to leased trucks and vehicles exposed to heavy wear. When the liner reaches the end of its service life, it can be removed and replaced more easily than a permanent spray-in liner.
Common applications include:
-
Construction trucks
-
Electrical and mechanical service vehicles
-
Oil and gas fleets
-
Agriculture and forestry trucks
-
Surveying vehicles
-
Municipal and utility fleets
-
Mobile service trucks
-
Delivery and material-handling vehicles
-
Contractor and trades vehicles
Raven Fleet Solutions can help coordinate consistent wood box liner and storage configurations across multiple vehicles.
